FRIDAY 10TH JUNE 2022 10.00 am – 16.30 pm MACCLESFIELD TENNIS CLUB
As a Walk Leader, you help everyone enjoy the pleasure and benefits of walking together outdoors. To support you in your role, we have arranged a full day training course for our members.
If you’re new to leading walks, or are thinking about becoming a walk leader, this training day will give you the basic skills needed to take on the Ramblers’ most popular volunteer role. If you’re an experienced walk leader, wanting to brush up your skills, there’s plenty for you too.
The morning session will cover what to consider before, during and after your walk, including safety and managing tricky situations, basic map reading, how to access the ECR website to publish your walk and it will also provide practical tips from experienced walk leaders.
The afternoon session will provide an opportunity during a short walk to put into practice what you have learnt in the morning session.
The training is free. To book a place on the course please email Maggie Swindells maggieswindells@gmail.com – or telephone 07729327940
