Bengal Tiger Lily Meal

Dear Ramblers

I am organising an Indian evening meal at the Bengal Tiger Lily at Monks Heath SK10 4TD, near Nether Alderley at 6:30pm for 7pm on Thursday 24th October 2019. This is roughly equidistant between Wilmslow and Macclesfield. It is also very near the Alderley Park Astra Zeneca site.

Also welcome are partners or friends, but book early to avoid disappointment.

Crispy pastry filled with herbs and spiced mixed vegetable

Four cutlets of spiced finely chopped onions wrapped in lentils and butter and then deep fried

Vegetable Pakora

Mixed vegetables dipped in Bengal gram flour mixture batter then deep fried

Chicken Tikka Massala (Mild)                               

Britain’s most popular dish, cooked in of special masala sauce with a touch of spice & low fat cream

Jalfrezi (Very Hot)

Originating in Calcutta, a hot dish consisting fresh green chillies & coriander, cooked in herbs. (Chicken / Lamb / Vegetable)

Balti (Medium)                                                         

A classic dish cooked in a special Balti sauce, spices, herbs & fresh coriander to give a unique flavour with enticing aroma.  (Chicken / Lamb / Vegetable)

Madras (Hot)

Rogan Josh (Medium (Hot)

From the hills of Kashmir, this popular dish is prepared with rich spices, but not as hot as madras, and then topped off with juicy tomatoes. (Chicken / Lamb / Vegetable)

Korma (Mild)                                                            

A very mild dish with a coconut and cream sauce and freshly ground spices (Chicken / Lamb / Vegetable)                                        

Vindaloo (Extra Hot)

Very hot dish cooked with ground chillies, herbs and tomato puree. (Chicken / Lamb / Vegetable)                                                                   

Sagwala (Medium)

Diced chicken in oriental spices with fresh spinach. (Chicken / Lamb / Vegetable)
